Dr Baby Sam Samuel

Social Entrepreneur

Dr. Baby Sam Samuel is a Social Entrepreneur and Organization Mentor from New York with over two decades of international experience spanning the US, India, and the Middle East. His leadership extends across for-profit and non-profit sectors, driving social impact and organizational transformation. He serves on the Boards of several nonprofit enterprises, including NYCON, Abbott House (USA), Tau Trust, and MinD (India), and is the Founding President of Anjappam Charitable Trust. Previously, he led the Indian Schools in Oman as Chairman of the Board of Directors and was Vice-Chairman of Knowledge Oman, the nation's largest volunteer collective. Passionate about education and social change, Dr. Samuel actively advises higher educational institutions. Currently, he serves as Director of Administration, Customer, and Exam Support at the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services, bringing strategic leadership to public service.

Dr Sora Al Rowas

CEO and Co-Founder of Al Sorat Consulting

Dr. Sora Al Rowas, CEO and Co-Founder of Al Sorat Consulting, has a unique global background. After earning her master’s in research from McGill, she completed board certification in internal medicine in the U.S. As an Assistant Professor at Tufts University and Director of Evidence-Based Medicine, she also earned a faculty development diploma from Stanford. Returning to the Gulf, she worked in the UAE and Oman, becoming Head of Risk Management and later Head of the Acute Medicine Unit at Royal Hospital. A Schwartz Award winner for compassionate care, she is passionate about using data to drive excellence in healthcare quality. Her consulting firm specializes in data-driven decision-making, guiding institutions toward excellence through informed, incremental steps. Since entering the business leadership space in 2021, she has received multiple leadership awards, solidifying her impact in the field.

Dr Vidya Yeravdekar

Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar is the Principal Director of Symbiosis Society, and Pro Chancellor of Symbiosis International University. Symbiosis International University is a multi-disciplinary, multinational, multi-cultural University having more than 49000 students from all States of India and international students from 85 countries. The Symbiosis Society not only has under its ambit the Symbiosis International University but also has K12 Schools, College of Arts and Commerce and Museums- the Afro Asian Cultural Museum and the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum & Memorial. Dr. Vidya holds a Post Graduate Degree in Medicine, a Degree in Law and Ph.D. in 'Internationalisation of Higher Education in India’. Dr. Manuela Gutberlet

Senior Researcher and Lecturer

Dr. Manuela Gutberlet has lived in the Middle East for more than 20 years. Born and raised in Berlin, Germany, she later explored the world, living and working across three different continents, with a primary focus on the Middle East. Her journey has taken her to Cairo, Rabat, Sharjah, and Muscat, where she spent 17 years working in tourism, journalism, higher education, and public relations at one of the region’s top universities, the German University of Technology in Oman. She holds a PhD in Cultural Geography from RWTH Aachen University, Germany, and currently serves as a Lecturer and Senior Researcher at Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. Her academic contributions include a recently published book, Over tourism and Cruise Tourism on the Arabian Peninsula, released by Routledge.

Dr Nawal Al Mahyijari is a consultant psychiatrist, certified clinical hypnotherapist, emotional intelligence & communication skills trainer, In addition, she is a toastmaster in the Orbit Toastmaster Club, area 13, division D, District 105, Sultanate of Oman. Furthermore, She is a public speaker and public figure in the Sultanate of Oman. Participating in different scientific and social speeches/activities inside and outside Oman.

Dr. Terry Storer

Director of Al Sahwa Schools, Muscat Oman

Born in the UK, Dr Terry Storer has spent the past 35 years teaching and leading international schools across five continents. Having initially obtained a joint honors degree in Ecology and Chemistry, Dr. Terry travelled widely in sub-Saharan Africa getting first-hand experience applying the skills learned in his undergraduate degree, particularly in Namibia where he worked on a project to map the home ranges of rhinoceros against their health and that of the vegetation that supported them. On returning to the UK, Dr Terry took his love of the sciences to the classroom and began his teaching career in London. The passion for exploring new cultures and value systems was always present and eventually led to him taking up his first international school teaching position in Caracas, Venezuela. From there, Dr Terry worked in Tanzania where he set up an international school in Dar es Salaam.

Hyesha Barrett is a Conscious Parenting Strategist with a rich tapestry of experiences, passions and skills that reflect her diverse background. Born in Hong Kong, having lived in 6 countries and travelled to nearly 100, Hyesha's journey has been a fusion of cultural immersion and personal growth. Educated in France and the U.K., Hyesha's career trajectory has been as eclectic as her upbringing. From journalism to event management, project management, Feng Shui and Energy Medicine, she has honed a multifaceted skill set over the years. Hyesha is currently up leveling her skill set and training to become a Conscious Parenting Strategist, believing that the majority of change can be gained through building a deeper relationship with our inner child, while healing the misunderstandings of our pasts.

Nicolas Randall

Adjunct Professor of Storytelling at IE University in Madrid

Nicolas Randall is an Adjunct Professor of Storytelling at IE University in Madrid. An MBA was obtained from Oxford University (2000), following a background in Anthropology and Psychology (BSc, Brunel University). Over five years, work was conducted in more than 20 countries, where political and business interviews were carried out at the highest level. In this capacity, meetings were held with Hillary Clinton, George Soros, and various presidents and prime ministers. A year was spent living in Syria, providing deep familiarity with the Middle East. Through these experiences, a strong understanding of effective storytelling—along with its pitfalls—was developed. This knowledge was later applied to the visual sphere through the creation of a publishing company specializing in photography, producing commissioned books for multinational corporations and governments. More recently, involvement in the startup space has included founding two startups and mentoring others in storytelling.

With over two decades of experience in product and project management, I've navigated complex challenges, led high-stakes initiatives, and optimized processes to create value. My most fulfilling achievements, however, are the people I've mentored and empowered. As a Session Lead for the Product Management Nanodegree (Oman) under the Makeen program, I've guided 20 graduates, helping them enhance their skills and bridge the gap between education and real-world challenges. In addition to my professional roles, I have embraced public speaking as a powerful tool for leadership and connection.
