In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Aahana Singh

A couple of things that are unique to my personality include the fact that I play sports - to be more specific, squash - at a national level. Apart from that, I'm absolutely in love with books of almost every genre, whether it be fantasy, historical fiction or nonfiction, biology/environmental, mythology, etc, and am an extremely voracious reader, and even though one would never see me engaging in conversation often (especially with children my own age), I'm a pretty decent public speaker. That about sums me up!

I absolutely love playing badminton; it’s such a fun way to stay active and challenge myself. I also really enjoy singing—it’s a joyful escape for me. When it comes to academics, I have a genuine passion for math, and I find great satisfaction in solving problems. I am passionate about elocution, debates, reciting poems and love inspiring others with my thoughts and ideas. I also enjoy playing basketball and pickleball and look forward to my physical education lessons. A friendly person who loves interacting with others and having meaningful conversations. I truly have a deep love for Lego—there’s something magical about building and creating with those colourful bricks. I also take pride in my public speaking skills; I find that my best moments come when I can really express myself with enthusiasm and emotion. Dancing and singing are two of my favourite ways to express myself, and I’m also pretty skilled at badminton. Each of these activities brings a special kind of joy and fulfilment to my life.

I'm Uday Bhatia, an 18-year-old passionate about the intersection of computer science, innovation, and entrepreneurship. From an early age, I’ve been involved in product development—whether it was creating video games, conducting science experiments, or now, innovating my own e-learning platform, FindOurTutor, and my sustainable social enterprise, Uday Electric, which focuses on illuminating rural India, bulb by bulb. So far, we’ve brightened over 7,000 homes across rural India and even received an international award from the Prince of Wales. Through this TEDx talk, I share my entrepreneurial journey and juxtapose it with key business principles I’ve learned along the way.
