TEDxIMIB was a full-day event, curated by Prof. Amit Shrivastava, with a limited live audience of 100, as per TEDx rules. Our goal was to spark ideas, inspire new ways of thinking across a wide spectrum of topics and amplify the message so that it reaches a larger audience. The event featured a diverse lineup of speakers from various fields, each contributing unique perspectives and the talks covered topics ranging from Women Empowerment and Yoga to Food and Entrepreneurship, creating a well-rounded experience for attendees. Attendees were highly engaged with the powerful stories and thought-provoking ideas shared by speakers. All in all, the event was a remarkable success, bringing together innovative thinkers, changemakers, and an enthusiastic audience. The event fulfilled its mission of spreading ideas and fostering meaningful impact. Looking ahead, we aim to build on this success and continue hosting impactful TEDx events in the future.

Social Innovator, Entrepreneur, Design Mentor and Founder of Young Tinker Foundation
An engineer and social innovator at heart, Anil Pradhan has transformed the STEM education of marginalized communities in the rural regions of Odisha. With the help of his foundation, the Navonmesh Prasar Foundation, he has implemented innovative strategies and project-based learning, as well as introduced technical and designing and engineering skills among the students. His programs also aim at bringing girls into the women empowerment in STEM activities so that there is space for growth with inclusion. Anil is also determined to bring the little changes that sow the seeds of change at ground level. He has worked tirelessly to connect the dots between learning and practice. His story embodies how one can overcome challenges through imagination and commitment to make an impact.

Jacintha Jayachandran

Social Entrepreneur, Founder of HopeWorks Foundation, Advocate and changemaker for Disability Rights and Inclusive Opportunities
An Entrepreneur and a Social worker, Mrs. Jacintha Jayachandran has made remarkable contributions in the Human Resource Industry, with a career spanning over 15 years. Her entrepreneurial journey began in 2009, when she established a successful Talent Management Company by the name of ‘Skills Café’ and then in 2020, she broke new ground with ‘HopeWorks’, a social impact initiative through which she aims to make every girl child “Think, Feel, Believe and Live Equal” and enable them to march into college and be employed by 2030. With areas of interest and expertise in Leadership Coaching, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice, Education of the Girl child, Organizational Change Management, Consulting in People Practices and Hope as the way to Thrive, she has given several lectures in various institutions and platforms over the years and has simultaneously trained over 50,000 delegates and has coached over 100 individuals to be the best version of themselves.

Parvinder Singh Bali

Culinary Author, Hospitality Educator, Corporate Chef, Director - School for European Pastry and Culinary Arts
Beginning his journey from Institute of hotel management in Kolkata and earning a gold medal from Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development, Chef Bali is the crème de la crème of the cuisine industry. The first youngest pastry chef of Oberoi Hotels and Resorts who has shared kitchen with Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsey and Thomas Keller among many other connoisseurs, Mr. Bali is one of the only three chefs in India to have been professionally certified by CIA and American Culinary Federation. A writer with a knack for languages, Chef Bali is currently working with Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development as a Corporate chef and also travels to other Countries to conduct Indian cooking classes.

Shashi Bahuguna Raturi

Entrepreneur, Social Worker, Founder and Creative Head at Namakwali
The visionary behind Namakwali, she has been recognized as a pioneer in reviving traditional Himalayan recipes. Starting with just three women, her vision has blossomed into a thriving brand, reviving the ancient Himalayan Pisyu Loon salt and empowering rural artisans. Over four decades, Shashi has championed women's empowerment, education, and community development. Founded an NGO in 1982, introduced smokeless stoves, and established Balwadis (pre-schools) for rural children. Her work led to collaborations that uplift entire communities. Launched Namakwali in 2018, blending heritage with innovation. Today, her handcrafted salts, are celebrated nationwide, earning acclaim on Shark Tank India and showcasing the power of tradition, sustainability, and resilience.

Sugandha Vatrana

HR lead at Signify, Certified Yoga Coach, Total Rewards Specialist, Holistic Wellness Coach, Motivational Speaker and Influencer
A yoga instructor and wellness coach for over five years, she blends traditional yogic knowledge systems with modern wellness practices to design practices that aim at holistic growth of an individual – physically as well as mentally. Certified in 200 hour YTC Yoga, 250 hour YTC Aerial Yoga, 250 hour YTC Aerial Pilates and 80 hour YTC Restorative Yoga, Sugandha helps people on various aspects of health and self healing. Her work combines the power of experiential wisdom through hundreds of years with innovative creative techniques to harness the human potential.
