Theme: Our World: Entangled

TEDxSISC Youth is the very first TEDx event taking place at Southville International School and Colleges.

The theme of TEDxSISC Youth 2025, "Our World: Entangled,” explores the relationship and interconnection of different elements and subjects in our world. In an entangled world, even the slightest actions cause ripples, unnoticed and often impacting others in ways we might not realize. A tight string could knot our world, but when it’s tripped on and cut, it could cause everything else to unravel.

Danielle del Rosario

Business Executive

Danielle del Rosario is a corporate trailblazer committed to uplifting the lives of Filipinos in need. A food security and sustainability advocate, she has also made an impact through her work in finance, philanthropy, energy, and the industrial sector. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accountancy from the University of the Philippines Diliman and a Master of Business Administration from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.

EJ Obiena

Asian Record Holding Pole Vaulter

EJ Obiena is a world-class Filipino pole vaulter and the Asian record holder with a 6.00-meter personal best. He made history at the 2024 Paris Olympics, finishing fourth in the men’s pole vault final, the best Olympic finish by a Filipino in the sport. As of February 2025, he is ranked No. 4 in the world by World Athletics. This year, Obiena continues to shine, winning gold at the Meeting Metz Moselle Athlelor in France (5.70m) and the Orlen Copernicus Cup in Poland (5.80m). His dedication and success have made him a pioneer in Philippine athletics, inspiring the next generation of athletes to aim higher.

Jodi Sta. Maria

Actress and Mental Health Advocate

Jodi Sta. Maria is a renowned Filipina actress and mental health advocate, celebrated for her extensive work in film and television. She received a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress at the 44th International Emmy Awards and has won Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Asian Academy Creative Awards. Beyond acting in iconic works like Be Careful With My Heart and Pangako sa ‘Yo, she also holds a degree in Psychology with honors. Jodi continues to inspire many with her captivating performances and steadfast commitment to mental health research and advocacy.

Kimoon Kim

SISC Student Speaker

Kimoon Kim is a Grade 12 student leader, being the current Vice President of the SISC High School Student Council and the founder of the SISC Cinematics Club. With his love for filmmaking, he has ignited a passion for the arts and paved the way for many students at Southville to explore creative fields. His skills in public speaking and debate have also won him several awards, such as SGEN Academic Olympiad Extemporaneous Speech Champion and World Scholars Cup Manila Round Top 5 Individual Debater.

William Emmanuel Yu

Technology Executive and Educator

William Emmanuel Yu is a tech visionary passionate about technology advocacy and volunteerism. His knowledge and skills encompass technology solutions and operations, internet governance, and information security, while being active as a Computer Science professor and researcher. He holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Computer Science, a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Ateneo de Manila University.
