Aurélio Júnior
student
Hey, my name is Aurélio but some of my freinds and loved ones call me Hilton as well. I'm a student of The International School of Macao and am a senior/Grade 12 student. I really love business and economics, and particularly I am interested in decisions and choices. I'm also a part of our schools MUN, and the fun debates there make my week better. Alongside MUN and I'm also the editor-in-chief of our schools newspaper club- The Claw- and I am the current High School Student Council Treasurer. Outside of school I am a proud Sunday School teacher, and really enjoy football and wrestling. My hope is that I get to become a professional strategy consultant, so I can asist individuals and organizations in making big and impactful decisions . My other hope is that I get to watch upclose my GOATs Antony and Cristiano Ronaldo play.

I am a high school junior in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at TIS. Currently, I'm working on my Extended Essay about the role of music in promoting liberty and equality during the French Revolution, with a passion for the intersection of history and culture. Outside of school, I have been learning the Chinese bamboo flute since 2017, and have placed in many international competitions. Central to my Tedx talk, i'm also involved in a collaborative project between the Macau Chinese Youth Orchestra and the Tung Sin Tong that promotes the relations between Chinese traditional music and medicine. In the future, I hope to pursue studies in environmental science and public policy, aiming to foster cultural diplomacy and harmony between humanity and nature.

Hi everyone, I’m Ethan Yau, a high school senior/G12 student at The International School of Macao. I’m thrilled to be a speaker at the first TEDx TIS Youth event. At school, besides TEDx, I am actively involved in the Athletic Council, serving as the Secretary, and I am also a member of the Grade 12 Graduation Committee. Outside of academics, I represent Macau in swimming and spend my free time binge-watching shows and exploring new places.
Joy Wang
student
My name is Joy Wang, and I am a middle school student at TIS. Originally from Beijing, I moved to Macau in grade 6. I’ve been passionate about speech since grade 1, participating in classes and competitions, and I’ve had some achievements and successes along the way. I also enjoy drawing, debating, and music during my free time. I wanted to attend this speech event because I’m passionate about sharing ideas and hope to inspire/influence, or change the views of others through my words. Speaking has always been a way for me to connect with people, and I’m very thankful and excited to be part of this experience!
Silvia Shi
student
Hi, my name is Silvia Shi and I am a student here at TIS. I am in High School U20 Girls Basketball, Model UN, Yearbook Club, Kumon math and Mandarin, and TedX Youth Club. I was valedictorian for my class in grade 6, MVP for my basketball team 2 years ago, and a full year honour roll student last year. I like any adrenaline enticing activities. I like going to new places, and trying new things. In the future, I plan on focusing more on my studies to improve my grades to achieve my dream jobs which is either to be a pilot or become a vet. I would say I am a pretty hyper person but sometimes, I could also be quiet. That pretty much sums up the kind of person I am.
