Theme: "Dripping"〜滴る〜

"Dripping" evokes the image of liquid quietly falling drop by drop. Just as a small droplet can eventually create a powerful stream, even the subtlest changes or influences can lead to significant outcomes. At TEDxUTokyo, we see the moment participants encounter unfamiliar ideas as a "dripping" moment. The concentric ripples that form when a drop of water falls onto the surface mirror how ideas born at the event ripple outward, influencing individuals internally and society as a whole.
「滴る」は静かに一滴ずつ落ちてくる液体のイメージを持っています。また小さな一滴がやがて大きな流れを生み出すように、微細な変化や影響が大きな結果を生むことがあります。TEDxUTokyoの参加者の見知らぬアイデアとの出会いを「滴る」瞬間として捉え、水が水面に落ちた瞬間に発生する同心円状の波紋を、イベントで生まれたアイデアが個人の内面、社会全体に影響を及ぼしていく様子と重ね合わせています。

A man driven by a single aspiration: to create a "KidZania for adults." He lives for that dream, believing that what truly matters isn’t an impressive title but a future you can passionately chase after. He organizes spaces where students can talk about life, such as the monthly "Life Café," and has launched numerous projects under the concept of "Creating moments to look forward to in everyday life." His ultimate goal is to bring his vision of an adult KidZania to life. 学生が人生について語り合う空間：月一回開催の「人生食堂」をはじめ、「日常に”待ち遠しい”を作る」をコンセプトに企画を数多く立ち上げる。大人のキッザニアを作ることが夢。

Planetary Scientist

Lecturer at the Department of Complexity Science and Engineering, Department of Frontier Sciences, University of Tokyo Using planetary exploration probes and large telescopes, he observes the atmospheres of Venus and Mars, conducting research on Earth-like planets that once contained large amounts of water. 東京大学大学院新領域創成学科複雑理工学専攻 講師。惑星探査機や大型望遠鏡を用いて金星や火星の大気を観測し、かつて大量の水が存在した地球型惑星の研究を進めている。

Yui Hatakeda

Calligrapher, Seal Engraver, Graduate Student

After graduating from the University of Tokyo, she pursued studies in China and began her career as a calligrapher. Currently, she is actively participating in exhibitions and running calligraphy classes. At the same time, she is enrolled in the doctoral program at the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Education, where she is researching calligraphy education that emphasizes individuality and diversity. 東大卒業後、中国留学を経て書家として活動。展覧会への出品や書道教室の運営を行う傍ら、東大大学院教育学研究科の博士課程にて個性と多様性を尊重した書の教育について研究中。
