In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Clay Jeon

Clay Jeon is a Philosophy, Politics, and Law student at Binghamton University. On campus, he has actively engaged in diverse leadership, research, and advocacy roles, serving as a student researcher, board member, judicial officer, financial officer, project developer, publication co-director, social chair, teaching assistant, and speaker for various organizations. He’s a part of the Student Association, Dickinson Town Council, Binghamton Policy Project, Binghamton Policy Project, New York Public Interest Research Group, Binghamton Pre-Law Education Organization, Consult Your Community, and the Harpur College Undergraduate Student Advisory Council. Through his talk, he aims to inspire others to see that giving back is not only feasible but essential to leading a fulfilling life and building stronger, more connected communities.

Faye McCray

Faye McCray is a speaker, consultant, and former attorney whose work spans law, media, and wellness. With over a decade of legal experience in high-pressure environments, she understands the challenges professionals face when balancing ambition with personal well-being. She has led content and communications for brands like Healthline, Well+Good, Livestrong, and Psych Central, centering mental health, wellness, and healthy workplace culture. As a strategic adviser to leaders and organizations like The Washington Post and Goldman Sachs, Faye helps shape authentic stories that build trust and connection. A frequent speaker on professional identity, leadership, and wellness, she has been honored as an Aspen Ideas Fellow and featured on NBC News Now, Good Day NY, and at events like SXSW and Ad Week. Faye holds a B.A. in English from Binghamton University, an M.A. in Writing from Johns Hopkins University, and a J.D. from Howard University School of Law. In her talk, she reflects on how the world often decides who we are before we get the chance. Drawing from her life as a 6'1 woman, a mother, a federal lawyer, and a writer, she explores what it means to live beyond assumptions and embrace the complexity of identity. This talk invites us to question why we limit ourselves and others to a single definition when we’ve always been more than one thing.

Guru Madhavan

Guru Madhavan is one of the top voices for systems engineering. He recently published a book titled "Wicked Problems: How to Engineer a Better World". He is also the Senior Director of Programs and Scholar for the National Academy of Engineering. Previously, he worked as a Senior Program Officer and Director of Studies at the Academy of Sciences. His talk redefines resilience and intends for the audience to see life through a different lens.

Sarah Zarember

Masters Student

Sarah Zarember is an MBA Candidate at the Binghamton University School of Management. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with concentrations in Leadership & Consulting and Marketing, and was a part of the PwC Scholars program. On campus, Sarah founded the Mountainview Jams internship program and serves as its Chief Strategy Intern, a Road Map Intern in President Stenger’s office, a DJ at WHRW, a BU Student Ambassador, CFO at AeroBing, and the Senior Advisor to the Internal and External Relations committees for MCG. Outside of Binghamton, Sarah is a singer-songwriter and runs her own career services company, passionate about helping people discover what makes them amazing personally and professionally. Her research interests include consumer and organizational behavior. Her talk aims to demonstrate how product marketing principles can be used to build an unshakeable personal brand to help people excel socially and professionally.
