TEDx ARISE is a pioneering community and stage that's 100% community-curated and -created by the new generation of Asian-Australians.

In conjunction with the theme of TED 2025 "Humanity Reimagined", we're hosted a countrywide ONLINE TEDx ARISE Community Salon with a resonant theme "Asian-Australians Reimagined".

How do Asian-Australians imagine themselves?
How does Australia imagine Asian-Australians?
How would you like Asian-Australians to reimagine themselves?
If you are one, how would you like to re-imagine yourself?

We heard ideas, perspectives, and stories from 8 inaugural TEDx multi-disciplinary speakers from diverse backgrounds who delivered their TED Talks LIVE from across Australia.

After their talks, the community meet them in individual breakout conversation rooms to talk more about their ideas, ask questions, and exchange perspectives and stories about Reimaging Asian-Australians.

A TEDx event is as much about community connections and conversations! Diverse Asian-Australians from all around Australia and overseas shared their experiences, ideas, and views.

As this was also the week of International Women's Day, we officially launched TEDx ARISE "Asian-Australian Women Reimagined", and are calling out for your ideas and inspirations!

Qin Qin

Rogue Model Minority
Qin Qin’s mission is to live consciously and help others do the same. Born in China and raised in Australia, she began her career as a model minority poster child at 5. By 29, she was a Harvard graduate with four degrees working for UNICEF. After a quarter-life crisis, Qin Qin realised life wasn't an exam to ace. Since then, she's defied expectations to find success on her own terms. Her memoir and book "Model Minority Gone Rogue" (2024) reveals the messy, liberating journey to choose love over fear. She was named a 40 under 40: Most Influential Asian Australian.
