Galina Angarova is a climate and land rights activist from the Ekhirit nation of the Buryat People in Siberia. She is at the forefront of safeguarding the rights of Indigenous Peoples where they face threats and pressure from mining, oil and gas operations, industrial agriculture and mega-infrastructure and more. As the executive director of the Securing Indigenous Peoples’ Rights in the Green Economy (SIRGE) Coalition, Angarova brings Indigenous voices to the heart of the energy transition discussion.
